What is a Naturopathic Doctor?

Naturopathic doctors (ND) are trained as primary care providers who diagnose, treat, and manage patients with acute and chronic conditions. Naturopathic medicine is a distinct health care profession that combines the wisdom of nature with the rigors of modern science.

What can I expect during my first visit?

Your first visit usually lasts about 60 minutes. We discuss your health issues in detail, including your current symptoms and health history. We also consider contributing factors such as lifestyle, personality traits, work demands, and other environmental circumstances.

For most clients, a 30 minute follow up visit is scheduled monthly for the first several months. This initial frequency ensures that we can address all of your concerns. In many cases, eventually only one visit every 6 - 12 months is needed.

When I started working with Dr. Fig I was suffering from horrible PTSD and taking psych meds. I had seen many alternative practitioners but Dr. Fig really was the key to helping me heal, and he was with me every step of the way. By the time one year had gone by, I was already off my meds and feeling much better. Today I feel so healthy, I can hardly remember what it was like to have PTSD.
